Description
In this Social Studies course Second Grade students learn to navigate the world around them, by developing map skills and recognizing symbols and landmarks. They will gain financial literacy skills and explore the concept of community, learning about the development of cultures, systems of governance, how communities and cultures interconnect both locally and globally, and how the world around them has changed over time. Students will learn about individual rights and responsibilities as well as opportunities for active participation in the life of the community.
