Hello!
Is Your Child Ready for the CogAT? Find Out with Our Expert Diagnostic Assessment!
The CogAT Diagnostic Assessment is designed specifically for students in grades 1st-5th to evaluate their readiness for the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). This assessment covers the three key batteries—Verbal, Quantitative, and Nonverbal—giving you an understanding of how your child would perform if they were to take the exam today.
⭐ Assessment Benefits ⭐
Comprehensive Evaluation - Our assessment thoroughly examines your child’s abilities across the three critical areas tested in the CogAT:
Verbal Battery: Measures verbal reasoning, vocabulary, and language skills.
Quantitative Battery: Assesses numerical reasoning, mathematical problem-solving, and quantitative concepts.
Nonverbal Battery: Evaluates abstract thinking, pattern recognition, and spatial visualization.
Identify Strengths and Areas for Improvement - By pinpointing your child’s strengths and highlighting areas that may need further development, this diagnostic assessment provides invaluable insights that can help tailor your child’s preparation strategy.
Personalized Coaching Report - Within 48 hours of completing the assessment, you’ll receive a comprehensive coaching report. This report will include:
Detailed Scores: Clear, easy-to-understand scores for each of the three batteries.
Targeted Feedback: Specific feedback on your child's performance, highlighting both their strengths and areas for improvement.
Actionable Recommendations: Expert suggestions on how to enhance your child’s skills and confidence in preparation for the CogAT.
After the assessment, we’ll review any incorrect answers together. I’ll demonstrate effective strategies to solve these questions, helping your child build confidence and sharpen their problem-solving skills.
Why Take the Diagnostic Assessment Before Tutoring?
Having your child take the assessment before signing up for tutoring sessions is a great idea. The assessment is designed to give you valuable insights into your child's strengths and areas where they may need additional focus.
Given that the CogAT consists of 9 subtests, I generally recommend at least 5-6 tutoring sessions, with each session covering two subtests. However, I understand that this may not be feasible for everyone. The Diagnostic Assessment will allow us to tailor the tutoring sessions to your child's specific needs, making the most of the time we have together.
Once the assessment is completed, we can discuss the results and decide on the best plan moving forward. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to schedule the assessment.
I'm here to support your child's academic journey every step of the way!
