Description
Join this cross-unit, project-based flex class to explore the Amazon Rainforest. Becoming more global-minded while gaining in-depth knowledge of deforestation, resource depletion, and conservation efforts, students will work through engaging activities and three research projects. -Using the book The Great Kapok Tree by Lynn Cherry, learn about the rainforest locations, classifications, and layers.
-Discover the weather, climate, insects, animals, and resources of the Amazon Rainforest.
-Through interactive projects, enhance critical thinking, teamwork, and analytical skills.
-Complete 3 research projects using trusted sources. Each will be a visual presentation and can be uploaded for feedback.
-Engage with teacher and peers via collaboration boards, comments, presentations, and virtual discussions.
-Utilize platforms like Google, Padlet, and Nearpod for activities and collaboration.
