Description

In this Language Arts 8 course focuses on strengthening critical reading and writing skills. Students engage with literature and informational texts of increasing complexity to improve their ability to independently analyze, evaluate, and critique texts. Through close reading, class discussions, presentations, and careful writing, students develop their skills in writing and deepening their understanding of texts. The course emphasizes the use of technology to enhance reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language use. Additionally, students actively seek to understand diverse perspectives and cultures through their readings and listening. Completion of this course fulfills the eighth-grade English requirement. (semester 2 of 2)
