  This class is semester 1 out of 4 (Autumn Semester). We'll cover a variety of math concepts typically found in a 4th Grade math book. In each semester (except the Summer Semester) we will meet for 11 weeks, twice a week. During the Summer Semester we only meet for 9 weeks. 

  During our weekly sessions, learners will work toward mastering the following math concepts on a sixth-grade level: Numbers, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Time, Money, Measures and more.

  LOCATION: We, currently, utilize ZOOM for our virtual classroom meetings.

Important Disclaimer

  Our math game sessions are highly interactive and (sometimes) competitive. Participants will have a chance to compete against each other, the instructor or the game. Not all students will win. It is important that they are able to exhibit good sportsmanship regardless if they win or lose.

  Additionally, this class is designed to move quickly through the various math concepts mentioned above. The instructor will help students along by giving tips, introducing them to new methods of solving and encouraging them to ask questions. However, our time together is very limited. If the student demonstrates that they require more time to master any one math concept (or there are learning gaps), you are welcome to schedule a Private Tutoring session for them. We also encourage the student to utilize the Resource Library that will be made available to them.
