A 6 week digital art study: Texture helps evoke emotions,. enhance storytelling, and creates visual intrigue - enhancing one's work. Join me in Digital Drawing School! Your child can get a rich art curriculum, with different brushes and mediums - all from their tablet or iPad!  In the "Drawing School" series we will explore different elements of drawing.    In "Texture" we will learn about the element of texture through re-creating textures provided. Naming actual textures and creating implied textures.  We will wrap textures around spheres and cubes and we will work on the close up of an eye, while looking at light sources and how shadows are cast. This class will be fun  and implement other apps to help us play with textures and manipulate them successfully! 

**This class assumes an understanding of whatever digital app your student works in! I will not be teaching the apps in this class, rather USING the apps to explore art history through the various mediums and methods they provide** if your student needs to learn how to use Procreate or Ibispaint, please see my Intro series before enrolling in the "Drawing" classes!

Through the six weeks of our study of  texture we will:  

Week 1: Implied Texture - six samples

Homework: Finish classwork choose one of the six samples and create a creature

Week 2: Creating unexpected textures

Homework: Finish classwork

Week 3: Textures on black backgrounds 

Homework: Finish classwork

Week 4:  crumpled paper

Homework: Finish classwork

Week 5: Fur (brush will be sent to students) 

Homework: Finish classwork, add color,

Week 6:  Fruit and pattern

Homework: Finish classwork,
