Stone Bridges Academy is an independent educational group of teachers, and our classes will be hosted via Zoom.

Students will enhance reading skills in this engaging small group class (1-4 learners).  They will read aloud and participate in discussions about vocabulary, plot, story elements, and more to boost fluency and comprehension.  The class covers narrative and informational texts focusing on understanding, critical thinking, and making connections. This class covers common core reading standards for second-grade English Language Arts. 

Class Structure:

-Overview of topic/theme and vocabulary.
-Read text aloud using group reading techniques like round-robin and choral reading
-Discuss to understand, summarize, and analyze the text
-Make predictions, inferences, and connections. Focus on context clues, main ideas, themes, and character analysis.
