Description

This Secondary Math course builds on middle-grade math, formalizing and expanding understanding of critical areas like linear relationships and congruent figures. The units deepen comprehension by contrasting linear and exponential phenomena and applying linear models to data with a linear trend. Secondary Mathematics I integrates algebraic and geometric ideas, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of the subject. Mathematical Practice Standards underpin each lesson, shaping the content into a coherent, useful, and logical subject that hones students' ability to tackle real-world problems. (semester 1 of 2)
