The Foundation tier of GCSE (and iGCSE) maths is a common entry point for most students in the UK to progress towards further education. It's also still a common requirement when applying for many job roles.
The Higher tier of GCSE (and iGCSE) maths is often chosen by students who want to study maths further, in a college (such as A level maths), or want to have a good mathematical background for related maths-based subjects. It is also a common entry point for most students in the UK to progress towards further education. It's also still a common requirement when applying for many job roles.
Suitable for all GCSE maths exam boards. As for iGCSE, it's mainly aimed Edexcel Specification A (both linear and modular).
This maths course prepares students for the most commonly taken exams in the UK, GCSE. It combines topics from both GCSE and iGCSE (yet it clearly distinguishes between each type of exam). So students can decide later which exams they want to take.
Home educators who leave school later, during secondary school, are often already on their path towards GCSE and many decide to keep working towards this exam. Those who had a longer time to think about the exams, who have been home educating for a longer time, often reach out towards the iGCSE option.
So in this course, you can learn both and choose when you're ready.
If you decide at any point that you may want to change from Higher to Foundation tier, the option is available - our course covers both tiers!
An additional program for practising past papers is available too (specific to the exam, exam board and tier). Reach out for more information.
