This class meets in-person in Greenville, SC. I am able to meet in my home (I have my own mini classroom set up for tutoring), or we can meet at a local library or in your home. I am very flexible; just let me know what your preference is, and I am happy to accommodate. 

Once you enroll, you will have access to your own private Google Classroom as well as the Student Portal through TutorBird. 

Currently, I have availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings between 10 AM to 12 PM (EST).

Hi, I'm Ms. Elizabeth! I'm an early literacy/reading tutoring located in Greenville, SC, and I have open spots for this summer and the upcoming fall semester for in-person tutoring. 

During our tutoring sessions, we will focus on phonics instruction and phonological awareness, essential stepping stones on your learner's journey to becoming a fluent reader. We will also work on listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and writing. 

During our first session, I will assess what reading level your learner is on through fun activities and games that measure skills in phonological awareness, phonics, letter recognition, and spelling. Then we will follow a scope and sequence to learn the foundational skills your learner needs in order to start reading fluently. This first trial session is completely free so that we can see if we’re a good fit. 

My tutoring program follows the research-based science of reading principles, including teaching oral language, phonological awareness and phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading/language comprehension, and writing. 

We will use high-quality decodable reading passages and literacy activities in class. 

I will provide all materials and activities for our program, including all decodable passages, activity pages, assessments, and hands-on materials, such as manipulatives and playdough.
