Over 450 parent reviews on Outschool.

We meet twice a week for 55 minutes. During our live and online meetings, I review previous material, answer student questions, and teach new material. Students are encouraged to actively participate via various methods, even anonymously if they are shy. Students are expected to complete practice assignments (homework) between classes. The only way to learn Algebra is to DO Algebra!

Note that this class will meet 30 times. I schedule a few make-up classes in the schedule. These extra classes are included in case I am ill and can not teach on a particular day due to a tech issue.

Students who are unable to attend live meetings are welcome to enroll in the class and use the class recordings of the live classes. However, students must attend at least part of a class live in order for the recording to be available to them.

Guided notes for each lesson are provided, as are homework assignments, study guides, and tests. So, there is no additional cost for books. Students will receive feedback on homework assignments turned in on time, and complete grading for study guides and tests. I am happy to provide a percentage score at the end of the semester for interested students and parents.

This class can be adapted for learners who struggle with math and for those who need an extra challenge. Please communicate the needs of your learner to me.

Student progress is assessed through practice assignments (homework), participation in class, and tests. Families may opt their child out of any of these assessments. I am willing to adjust the class to accommodate learners unique needs.
