This course meets on Thursdays from 11:00 to 12:00 EST, beginning January 9th. There will be 18 live lessons, ending in May 2025.  Similar classes offered at different times can be made available upon request. To request another class, please complete the priority list form.

French 1A is a middle school course which covers the content of the first half of high school French 1. This section began in August, so we are only accepting students with previous experience for second semester. A free evaluation is available to determine if this class is the best fit for the student. At a minimum students wishing to join this class should know a few conversational phrases such as giving their name, age, and the date, and they should have some familiarity with commonly used words such as colors, animals, and numbers up to 100. They should also be able to describe themselves and others in affirmative and negative sentences using the to be verb and adjectives.

Students have about two hours of homework between class meetings, and grades are tracked.
