Description
The book, and its companion online program, teach general and specific intuitive strategies for high-school-level math such as that tested on the ACT and SAT. It then goes on to look at 101 math patterns found on the ACT and SAT and gives detailed explanations for how to use intuitive strategies to solve these patterns.
The online version, which is included at no extra cost with purchase of the book, presents the same material in a more interactive format. It also includes a number of motivating rewards, including videos and games, to keep students motivated and entertained!
Intuitive math is based on simple, clear tools for organizing complex information. Read more about the power of intuitive math - and the reasons why it is so important - at:
Anyone can learn and understand intuitive math tools. They make sense! And because of this they are very powerful. As one of our adult students once said, "I can understand this! I can do it! How come no one ever taught it to me like this before?"
The intuitive math program grows out of 35 years of working with young and adult students and is based on the author's background in special education and linguistics. Jay Cutts is also the author of the Barron's MCAT and Barron's LSAT (now the Cognella LSAT Roadmap), as well as the Cognella Building Math Confidence (for college students.)
Parents and other adults can benefit from going through this program to build their own math intuitions and learn how to help their children understand intuitive approaches to math.
