Availability
Students attend class twice per week for 45 minutes each class. Our Part A workshops will be available the following schedules:
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30pm
The Winter Session begins on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025.
Additional options may become available based on demand.
Description
- Learn to Read Part 1A (12 weeks) – The first of a two-part series, this small group interactive phonics workshop begins the journey to reading with the introduction of Letter/Sound Associations; Uppercase/Lowercase Letter Formation; and recognizing sounds at both the beginning and ending of words. Consonants Bb through Nn will be covered. Developed using the Science of Reading research, students are taught letter recognition and sound using a systematic, fun and interactive curriculum. Each unit also includes printable worksheets that parents can download to reinforce letter formation and sound association. Groups are limited to four students to ensure a high level of engagement between the teacher and students. Weekly online practice is assigned to help students to master each concept.

Policies
Students must be enrolled for the full 12-week session.
Tuition will be broken into 2 equal payments of $225 (CAN) each. Payments may be submitted using e-transfer or Bill Payment. The initial payment must be paid by January 20, 2025. The second installment must be paid by February 17, 2025.
We do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions for our workshop series courses. Students and parents will have access to the missed class activities.
Students will require the use of a laptop or Chromebook with both audio(voice and speakers) and a camera.
Program activities cannot be accessed on an iPad.
