Description
About the Class:
In this math class, students will embark on a journey to master four different strategies for multiplying multi-digit numbers. Through engaging discussions, hands-on practice, and modeling, students will unlock the secrets of multiplication. With a solid grasp of multiplication facts or access to a multiplication chart, students will build a strong foundation for success in this class. Additionally, proficiency in adding and subtracting numbers up to three digits will further empower students on their mathematical journey. Weekly homework, presented in PDF format, offers an opportunity for personal growth and development. With a manageable time commitment of 20 to 40 minutes, students can tackle the homework at their own pace over several days, fostering a sense of ownership and achievement. Progress will be measured through weekly participation, reflecting the commitment and dedication of each student.
Class Format:
Our live weekly class meetings will be held via Zoom. Students will access their lessons, print worksheets, submit assignments, join discussions, and view their feedback through our classroom platform, Canvas.
I strive to keep our class sizes small so we will have between 4-6 learners in class. This is a good number for student interaction:)
