Description

Get college admissions guidance from a professional college consultant! Offered on Outschool, this course is designed exclusively for students - no parents, due to Outschool's policies - and provides students the expertise of a college consultant but at a significantly lower cost than traditional college consulting. (Access is important to me.)

Students can use this class for:

  • college admissions essays
  • accountability to stay on track and turn in applications
  • guidance through the college application
  • understanding Financial Aid
  • and most other college aspects

(The class link above is for 'ongoing' meetings at $85/meeting. There is also an option to enroll in a multi-day set of 6 weekly meetings and save $31: https://outschool.com/classes/one-on-one-college-application-preparation-mentoring-yyRSCkRC?refuid=NXVYFp91)

*Because this course is on Outschool, there are restrictions in order to follow their policies!

  1. No parents on screen/asking questions nearby. (Parents and students are encouraged to talk before class and students may bring up any questions they have during the meeting!) This course puts the student in the driver's seat.
  2. Each meeting is 40 minutes long. No work is done outside of these meetings for the student by the college consultant.
  3. If a students asks for college suggestions, the consultant can give options which may come to mind in the moment, but will not spend additional time researching.

If you are looking for a more comprehensive advising option, including parents and additional time offered by the college consultant, please see other listings and/or contact Carissa.
