Piano Lessons is a class offered for students that are interested in learning piano.  I love making piano lessons fun!

-Students will meet once a week for 30 minutes. Lessons can be at our studio in Kirksville, MO, online only over Zoom or FaceTime, or hybrid (combination of in-person and online lessons).

-Lessons meet your level of instrument study.  We can work with students who are learning for the first time, or have already had a few years of study.

-There is no pre-requisite knowledge needed to start piano lessons.  

-Learners need to have a FULL SIZE (88-key piano) or a full-size (88-key keyboard) to benefit from piano lessons.  If a student has a keyboard it needs to have weighted keys and touch sensitivity.

-Instruction is individualized to the student's pace.

In addition to music training and pedagogy at the piano, Mrs. Erickson is experienced working with a diverse population.  She has specific training and experience in working with individuals who are functioning on the autism spectrum.  She also has been trained in the Wilson Reading System and various other programs to better understand how persons with dyslexia learn. 

Mrs. Erickson is good at breaking down tasks and requests during lessons which can benefit learners who struggle with auditory processing skills or ADHD.  She is also understanding and sympathetic to those who experience anxiety and tries to perform a relaxed and calm experience during lessons.
