Description

Does your learner think ancient history is dull? This historical adventure camp is here to change that! Or perhaps they already love the past? Either way, this is the perfect answer. Here, they’re not just learners—they’re tribal leaders stepping into the role of a prehistoric guide. They’ll lead their tribe through the challenges of early human life, evolving from survival to thriving as a village, city-state, and eventually, a civilization. Along the way, they’ll uncover the rich history of the Paleolithic and Neolithic eras and explore the groundbreaking achievements of Mesopotamia.

Let’s face it: history doesn’t have to feel like a string of dates to memorize. That’s why this class flips the script. Surviving the Ages isn’t about reading—it’s about doing. In a dynamic survival simulation, your learner will tackle critical decisions about food, shelter, and alliances, gaining a hands-on understanding of the trials early humans faced.

By the end, they’ll transform into critical thinkers who can connect patterns from the past to today’s world. Each day wraps up with a reflection session to discuss strategies and insights, and for an exciting finale (time permitting), we’ll test their survival savvy with a fun Kahoot quiz to reinforce key concepts!

Policies

Active Participation: In this class, active participation is key to meaningful engagement and learning. Learners are strongly encouraged to contribute to discussions, share their perspectives, and ask questions. To promote critical thinking and effective in-class interactions, the chat feature should be used sparingly. While quick questions or clarifications are welcome, longer answers or discussions are best reserved for face-to-face interactions during class time.

Punctuality: It’s essential for learners to arrive on time for this class. While late arrivals are welcome to join and participate from the moment they arrive, we won’t be able to restart simulations or catch up on missed activities due to time constraints. To ensure the best experience for everyone, punctuality is strongly encouraged.Report this listing
