What Will Be Taught?

• In Math, we’ll explore a range of topics, from foundational skills like addition, subtraction, and place value to advanced concepts such as fractions, decimals, and geometry.
• In Reading, we'll focus on essential skills like phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary building, and critical thinking. We'll also work on decoding strategies, making inferences, and understanding text structures to boost your child’s reading confidence and ability.

How Is Your Class Structured? Every student begins with an initial assessment to identify their strengths and areas for growth. Based on the results, I’ll craft a personalized learning plan for math, reading, or both, depending on your child’s needs and enrollment choice. For math, we’ll build foundational skills and progress systematically through advanced topics, unlocking enrichment opportunities as your child masters each concept. For reading, we’ll target specific skills to ensure they receive exactly the right level of support and challenge.

How Will I Teach? My teaching style is calm, fun, and nurturing. Through interactive games, movement activities, engaging videos, and creative strategies, we’ll make learning enjoyable and effective! Whether solving math problems or diving into an exciting story, your child will stay motivated and inspired.

Thank you for choosing to work with me! To ensure a smooth and productive experience for everyone, I have a few policies in place:

1. Payment Policy: Payment is required in advance to secure your child’s time slot. Unfortunately, unpaid time slots may be offered to another student to maintain my schedule.

2. Cancellation Policy: I kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows me to plan my schedule and offer the time to another student if needed.

3. Missed Classes: No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will count as a missed class and cannot be rescheduled. This policy helps me honor the time and effort both you and I dedicate to these sessions.

4. Late Arrival Policy: If a student arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time to respect other commitments.

5. Technology Requirements: For online tutoring sessions, students must have access to a computer with remote control capabilities through Zoom, as this is essential for interactive and effective learning.

6. Make-Up Sessions: I offer one make-up session per month for emergencies or other unavoidable situations. Additional missed classes cannot be rescheduled.
