Phonics has been proven to be the most reliable way to teach younger children to read. This class will help your learner progress from simple story reading to using phonics to reading progressively more difficult passages. 

CLASS EXPERIENCE:

This class is the perfect fit for any child who knows basic reading skills but needs frequent practice.

TYPICAL CLASS ROUTINE:

Greeting/Get to know you time

Phonics review 

Story reading, fluency practice

Closing/sometimes puppet time

POSSIBLE READING CONCEPTS:

Phonics sound introduction and discussion

Learning to read with fluency

Attention to punctuation and reading expression

Building vocabulary and reading comprehension
