Join us twice a week as we learn math concepts on a third grade level and play a review game.
CLASS EXPERIENCE:

Weekly Schedule:
Week one (week of 9/12 & 1/8)- adding two digit numbers with and without regrouping
Week two (week of 9/19 & 1/15)- adding two digit numbers focusing on regrouping (carrying); adding 3 two digit numbers with carrying
Week three (week of 9/26 & 1/22)- adding three three digit numbers with regrouping
Week four (week of 10/3 & 1/29)- subtracting two and three digit numbers with and without regrouping
Week four (week of 10/10 & 2/5)- subtracting focused on borrowing with a zero
Week five (week of 10/17 & 2/12)- subtracting with regrouping in two places
Week six (week of 10/24 & 2/19)- complete addition sentences up to three digits by filling in missing digits
Week seven (week of 10/31 & 2/26)- multiplication by 0, 1, 2, 5, 10
Week eight (week of 11/7 & 3/4) multiplication by 3, 4, 11
Week nine (week of 11/14 & 3/11) multiplication by 6, 7
Week ten (week of 11/28 & 3/18) multiplication by 8, 9
Week eleven (week of 12/4 & 3/25) two digit by one digit multiplication
Week twelve (week of 12/11 & 4/1) adding and subtracting fractions with same denominator
Week thirteen (week of 1/2 & 4/8) addition and subtracting fractions with same and different denominator
Week fourteen (week of 1/9 & 4/15) fraction word problems
Week fifteen (week of 1/16 & 4/22) fractions greater than and less than; intro to mixed numbers
Week sixteen(week of 1/23 & 4/29) fraction equivalency and fractions in recipes
Week seventeen (week of 1/30 & 5/6) elapsed time (finding end time in word problems)
Weeks eighteen and nineteen (weeks of 2/6 and 5/13) measurement, including metric; measuring length, liquid, finding which measurement is appropriate
Weeks twenty and twenty one (weeks of 2/20 and 27 & 5/20) geometry including perimeter and area, parallelograms, trapezoids, rhombuses, etc.
Week 22 (week of 3/6) graphing
Week 23 (week of 3/13) borrowing using digits to thousands
Week 24 (week of 3/25) rounding and estimation to hundreds
Week 25 (week of 3/28) word problems
Week 25 and 26 (weeks of 4/3 and 4/10) two step word problems with mixed operations
Week 27 (4/17) multiplication of two digit by one digit using zero (ie 40x5)
Week 28 (4/24) multiplication of two digit by two digit numbers
Week 29 (5/1) division and relation to multiplication
Weeks 30 and 31 (5/8 and 5/15) long division
Week 32 (5/22) long division with remainder
