30 Years of Experience in English Language Education
Hi, I’m Virginia! For the past 30 years, I’ve worked with students of all ages and learning styles, including homeschoolers, ESL learners, and those with ADHD. As a homeschool-friendly tutor, I understand the value of personalized education and create lessons that are patient, supportive, and engaging—with a touch of humor to keep things fun.
Currently living in Germany, I’ve experienced the challenges of learning a second language myself, which has given me a deep appreciation for flexible, student-centered learning. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and spending time with my three cats and dog in a peaceful town near the Netherlands.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a Secondary Education Concentration from Georgia State University (2002), an English Secondary Education Teaching Certificate (2002–2007), and a TEFL certification earned in 2020.
