I have an online scheduling calendar with various times available for students, including both weekdays and weekends. 

This is a one-time, one-hour meeting with students to identify their personal statement topic. We often identify topics that would also be good for supplemental essays. 

After the students sign up for a Zoom meeting, they will receive a brainstorming packet to complete. This ensures that they are not put on the spot and will have adequate time to familiarize themselves with the prompts and the process. These questions and exercises will bring out unique and personal elements, ones we will expand on in our time together.

During our meeting, I guide students with new questions and work with them to find broader connections. I also make additional notes for students to use in their future writing. My goal is that every student leaves confident in their experiences and topic options!

I am a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner and have logged hundreds of hours with dyslexic students. During this meeting, I will take notes on what your student says and record elements for them so they do not have to write or keep track of their new comments and connections.
