The Truest Sentence: Coaching for Young Writers
I am a writing specialist who focuses on college essay writing. I am certified in college counseling, have a master's degree in teaching, and have spent the past decade working with students to hone their voices and become better writers. I can work with students once (I offer a one-time brainstorming session) or for the entire application season (I help with deadline management, all brainstorming, and coach students on good writing practices as they write essays for multiple schools).
My most popular offering is my class for students who wish to write their main college essay, also known as the personal statement, from start to finish. I support students as they find their voice, establish a narrative, and write an essay that reveals their positive attributes. I've run successful classes for a few years now and enjoy getting to know students and the products they create!
Write your main college essay in six weeks as we move from a 1:1 brainstorming session to 3 group workshops, focusing on all aspects of the essay and writing process. Tackle a big project in meaningful steps with the help of a professional.

I work with students to identify their top 2-3 personal statement topics. We talk through their stories and experiences to find new connections and positive characteristics. Students receive a pre-work brainstorming packet.
