We will explore a wide variety of interesting ethical issues that come up in football, basketball, baseball and soccer.

If you have a group of at least 4 students who would like to take this class together, please contact me and we can set up mutually convenient times, dates, and number of class sessions.  Classes will take place on zoom, and participants can pay me through PayPal or Zelle. The cost is $18 per student per class session.

Description

If you are a sports fan and/or an athlete this is the perfect class for you!  

This is a discussion class, and topics will include:

What defines unethical behavior in sports (gamesmanship) and ethical behavior (sportsmanship)?  

Is it ethical to be an NFL fan, given what we now know about the long-term effects of repeated head injury?

Should there be rules against taunting in basketball, end zone celebrations in football, and bat flipping in baseball?
