This is an asynchronous class you can take any time it fits into your schedule.  Click on the "Purchasing Information" button below to register for this class on Outschool.  But if you have a group of at least 4 students who would like to take this class together as a live discussion instead, please contact me and we can set up a mutually convenient time and date.  

Studying philosophy helps you expand your worldview, form your own moral code, and develop your critical thinking skills.  This class, which you can take on your own schedule, is designed for students who have already read (and loved!) the Harry Potter books.  These are the questions we will explore:  What are the elements of a good education? In what ways did Hogwarts provide a great education?  Were there ways Hogwarts failed its students? 

Students will have access to a video and a powerpoint presentation for this class.  Sometimes in the video I will suggest you stop the video and take some time to write down your own ideas on the question we're exploring.  At the end of the video I will ask a question you can answer by posting your thoughts in the classroom, and I will respond.  (This service is available for one week.)
