There are two sections of this class available:

Language Arts I will cover all essential components of a seventh-grade English education. The course includes comprehensive grammar instruction, with a focus on correct usage and punctuation. Vocabulary studies will align with the reading materials.
In composition, students will develop their paragraphing skills, begin essay writing, and engage in literary analysis. They will learn writing formats and structures while enhancing the style and interest of their work through deeper text discussions. Students will not only identify themes, characterization, and symbolism but also analyze how these elements impact the overall meaning of the literature.
Throughout the course, intermittent poetry studies will introduce unique imagery and foster an appreciation for figures of speech in prose. Writing assignments will be closely tied to the reading material, allowing students to apply their learning in a meaningful context.
