Have you ever wondered how large airplanes stay aloft, what materials they're made of, or what it takes to become a pilot? Is it true that helicopters don’t really fly, but are instead so ugly that the Earth repels them? Well, wonder no more! Join Catherine Gillies, a retired Navy pilot, for an exciting journey through the science of aviation! In this course, we’ll explore the principles of flight, aerodynamics, instruments and controls, weather, and fascinating aspects of the human body in flight. We’ll also feature special guest speakers and engage in hands-on projects. Don’t miss out on this captivating high school science class!
