Churches and people of faith have played a significant role in the history of our country from its earliest days. Colonies were founded, wars were fought, and critical decisions were made in the name of religion. This class will examine the influence of religion on American history and explore how historical events have shaped various denominations and faiths. Students will utilize both primary and secondary sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of this dynamic interaction between faith and historical development.
