Does your learner struggle with math? Does your learner want to cry every time he/she is presented with a problem? Then this is the class for you! 

In this ongoing 1:1 tutoring class, your learner will get individualized, targeted instruction to boost his/her confidence. Through concrete examples, analogies, demonstration, and Socratic questioning techniques, your learner will understand not only how math works, but WHY math works. After all, math isn't just a bunch of numbers and formulas - if you dig into it, Math Makes Sense! 

As this is a 1:1 math tutoring class, before the class you will need to fill out the form with the grade level, concepts, and/or topics you want covered in the lesson. Each session will be taught using an I do, We do, You do approach, using concrete examples and analogies to make each concept come alive. I will model the concept and share the reasoning behind it, and then we will work some problems together. After students have a grasp of the concepts, they will try it on their own, either through practice problems I have created or their own homework. I will create worksheets, notes, examples, and games to best help your learner truly UNDERSTAND math. If given enough notice, I will also prepare extra practice activities for your student to complete after the session.
