Hello Everyone! My name is Mrs. Holman, and I LOVE math!

I have spent the last 10+ years teaching and tutoring math students of all ages, both online and in person! I am currently a math teacher, certified for 4-12 math with a BA in Mathematics and my M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching). 

Math is all around us, and I am passionate about opening students' eyes to the beauty of math. I strive to teach every student the WHY behind the WHAT - when students understand the reason why math works, they are far more likely to retain and enjoy what they learn! I use real-world scenarios, discussion, and discovery learning to help guide students toward their goals, giving them the tools to not only learn math, but to problem solve as well. Every student can learn — with a little hard work and the right explanation, EVERYONE can understand math! 

I love learning, piano, reading, playing board games with my husband, having fun with my two kids, and doing algebra problems for fun.  

I currently run a blog, teach PreAlgebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2 (both live and self-paced options), tutor, and run an online shop full of fun digital products!
