Description
This is a rigorous high school level course designed to meet the learning outcomes of Spanish 1 as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. It began in August, so students wishing to join late would need an equivalent background. An evaluation can be scheduled to confirm that the class is a good fit. This course uses a curriculum called SOMOS, which is a comprehensible input-based model. This curriculum encourages natural output, while exploring grammar and usage in culture-related contexts. Students can expect 3.5 hours of independent assignments outside of class each week. This class is taught by Kristen D'Entremont of Global Goose Languages. Classes meet on Zoom and are recorded so that students can review.
