Description
Writing Power Class Information
See our full course description and additional information such as required supplies on our website.
This course teaches students how to wield that power effectively, preserving their unique voices in a world dominated by AI writing tools. Designed for those who already write well but struggle with editing, flow, clarity, and style, this self-paced course emphasizes sentence structure to enhance any writing assignment. Please note that this course is designed for students who already know how to write well-developed paragraphs with topic sentences, support, and concluding sentences. The focus is on improving and editing paragraphs rather than on learning to write paragraphs.
Throughout the course, students will explore essential grammar rules, such as when to spell out numbers, the difference between "affect" and "effect," and the strategic use of passive voice. They'll also engage with evolving conventions, like splitting infinitives and starting sentences with coordinating conjunctions.
