Although I've had decades of experience working with children, my true calling emerged when I started tutoring students who struggled to learn to read. Seeing them master reading skills through their hard work and persistence, supported by my training and guidance, was incredibly rewarding. I knew I was making a real difference in their lives!

I started working with kids in 1999, when I became a registered Music Together facilitator, planning and leading early childhood music and movement classes. At my church, I directed children and youth in an old-fashioned Winter Solstice mummers' play for several years. More recently, from 2019 to 2021, I taught English to children in China through VIPKid.

While these experiences were deeply joyful, tutoring children who struggled with reading ignited a passion that went beyond my previous work. Now, I'm committed to continually expanding my knowledge about how children learn to read and improving my skills. I'm driven by a vision to shift the educational landscape, ensuring that all children are taught to read using proven, evidence-based methods.
