Description

Literature does not have to be long to be great!  This class introduces junior high students to ~40 classic and contemporary short stories while developing literary analysis, vocabulary, critical thinking, and writing skills.  By combining quality literature with short-form writing assignments, "Bite-Size Literature" is an excellent bridge to later high school English classes.

Honors option: for students who would like to extend their learning, students who register for the honors option will write two three- to five-page essays, one each semester, reflecting on themes from our short stories.
