Description
What does it mean to write in the age of generative AI? This class teaches writing students when and how to use AI as a tool in the writing process rather than just as a shortcut to a finished product. Instruction blends research and compositional strategies for academic writing with techniques specific to using generative AI. Over the course of 10 weeks, students write five essays -- plus outlines, annotated bibliographies, and process papers -- and receive detailed feedback appropriate to advanced high school/college level writing.
