Description

This business simulation will guide learners to imagine setting up and running their own salon business. They will create a budget, make decisions, create marketing materials and manage the monthly finances.

This unit will allow learners to develop an understanding of running any business, although this simulation is based on a salon. Learners will need to calculate monthly takings and costs. These numbers will all vary depending on how many staff they decided to hire and how large of a shop they decided to rent.

They will need to write emails, adverts and more - all giving an insight into running a retail business.

Videos will be provided to help with each stage and learners can reach out to me if they are stuck or confused. Learners will be provided with printable documents that will help them in each lesson. Learners may choose to use Canva or Google slides, or all work can be done with paper and pen.

The tasks are open-ended and can be completed in a variety of ways. For example, when asked to create a mood board, they could create this using magazines and glue, or digitally on Canva, Google Slides, Powerpoint or Pinterest.

Please Note - This class does NOT cover any hairdressing skills. It explores running a business - NOT how to cut or style hair.
