Description
Join me for a weekly creative writing course, where we will use the stimulus of short, animated films to inspire writing. This class fosters creativity as it is an open-ended class where children have the freedom to choose their writing outcomes.?✨
Beginners will be guided step-by-step, and advanced students are challenged with targeted questions and vocabulary.
Maximum of 6 children in a class!
*********************************Typical Class Routine**********************************************
Classes are hosted on zoom.
-Getting to know you game or activity
-A snappy starter that might give clues away to the film!
-Weekly Cinematic Exploration – watching a handpicked short films (4-10 minutes)
-Dynamic Discussions - encouraging expression of thoughts and opinions.
-Writing- Children choose prompts that resonate, making writing a personal and enjoyable endeavor.
-Writing Support- I provide guidance and encouragement for a positive learning experience throughout the writing process.
-Sharing work and feedback within the class.
There is always an opportunity for students to finish their work after class and submit for feedback as I wouldn’t want a student to feel rushed or pressured into sharing.
