Description
Join me (a self-proclaimed Hogwarts expert) for an ongoing reading & writing course, perfect for Harry Potter fans! We will explore and master English skills through the lens of the magical world of J.K. Rowling.
Beginners will be guided step-by-step and advanced students will be challenged with targeted questions and vocabulary.
✨Each week, children will explore a different reading or writing skill and demonstrate their understanding through short, focused pieces of work, all inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter. ✨
*********************************Typical Class Routine**********************************************
Classes are hosted on zoom or Outschool depending on the numbers.
-Getting to know you game or activity
-A quick and snappy grammar starter
-Introduction to the topic- reading a shared text or a modelled example
-Guided instruction -this is where I explain and show how to complete the activity
-Independent work
-Sharing work and feedback within the class.
-Harry Potter-themed (or otherwise) show-and-tell or an online game or quiz encouraging children to share and communicate with their peers.
?There is always an opportunity for students to finish their work after class and submit for feedback as I wouldn’t want a student to feel rushed or pressured into sharing.
