In this course, students will explore captivating and significant literature from around the globe, covering a timeline from ancient times to the modern era. Each work will be examined in the context of its geography, history, culture, and worldview, while students practice and refine their literary analysis skills. This unique opportunity reveals that many themes in literature reflect universal human struggles that transcend time and place. Through these powerful selections, students will engage in deep reflection about their own perspectives and connections to the world around them.
This highly interactive class features lively discussions, vocabulary building, projects, and writing assignments. Due to the dialogue-driven nature of the course, a functioning microphone will be required.
