Secular Curriculum
I started piano lessons at the age of 5 and have been passionate about music ever since!
I have 20 years of teaching experience in K-12 Music classrooms, including General Music, Music Theory, Music History, Ukulele, Band, Choir and Recorder group classes, in addition to private ukulele and piano lessons.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Music. I am currently K-12 Music certified.
I have been teaching virtual music classes for a small private school for the past 4 years so I also have experience with online teaching and learning.
I learned to play the ukulele while living on the beautiful island of Guam, where I lived for 18 years. My ukulele, which I named "Marvin", was handcrafted in Hawaii. I currently live in New York state with my husband, son, Basset Hound, cat and 5 goldfish!
I teach 1:1 piano and ukulele lessons for all levels of students, aged 7+
I also have several ukulele self-paced classes, including 30 lesson semester classes (Ukulele 101, Ukulele 102) and shorter 4 lesson song classes (Surf, Wipe Out, Happy Birthday and Somewhere Over the Rainbow).

In these weekly 1:1 piano lessons, students age 7+, at all levels, will learn to play their piano/keyboard using a set of 4 method books (Primer, Level 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4, 5, Older Beginner or Adult).

In these weekly 1:1 private ukulele lessons, students age 7+ of all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) will learn to pick and strum their ukulele using method books based on age and current level of playing.
