This fall semester course provides high school students with a comprehensive understanding of the Elements and Principles of Design coupled with practical experience using a variety of traditional artist materials. Each week, students will concentrate on a specific design aspect, drawing from both historical and contemporary examples. They will complete weekly art projects that apply the concepts discussed in class. All projects will be created in a non-digital format, exploring drawing, painting, sculpture, and other design methods. This semester's focus includes line, shape, color, texture, value, space and form.

Special Note: Both courses/semesters of General Art: Fine Arts Focus will use a similar format; however, the material covered is different and non-dependent on the previous semester. Students are welcome to join either course or both.
