This is a traditional high school course for chemistry worthy of a full credit in a self-paced format! This is a traditional high school course for chemistry worthy of a full credit in a self-paced format! Students will delve into the core principles of chemistry by examining and contrasting different types of matter and how they interact. This course will cover chemical reactions and the role of energy in these reactions as well as all the key topics including measurement, atomic structure, electron configuration, the periodic table, bonding, gas laws, properties of liquids and solids, solutions, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and nuclear chemistry.

Students will employ both virtual and traditional laboratory techniques to collect, organize, and analyze data. They will develop effective problem-solving skills and proper laboratory practices. Mrs. Childress ensures that the course material is engaging and relevant, offering numerous sample videos of laboratory experiments.
