In this high school level course, students will critically examine the philosophies, actions, and events surrounding the conflict. They will explore the Allied response and intervention driven by divergent worldviews and understand why addressing the spread of radical ideas led to significant policy actions. The course will utilize top-notch resources, including a self-published workbook by Lt. Col. (USAF ret.) Doremus, to deepen students' understanding of the topic.
This class is highly interactive, encouraging students to actively engage with one another and enjoy the learning process. It demands substantial student exploration and participation, with various research and speech elements integrated into weekly sessions. Students will be required to deliver four briefings over the course of the semester.
Teacher: Lt. Col. Gene Doremus
