Dates: Summer flute lessons are offered June through August at various times on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Sessions may be booked for recurring weeks or at different times throughout the summer.  Availability on the Outschool calendar will be kept current.

Don't let skill atrophy happen to your young musician over the summer.  When school is out, band practice takes a break as well.  However, summer is a perfect opportunity to improve technique, work on solo music playing, and increase musicianship.  With summer 1:1 music lessons, beginning and intermediate musicians can receive practice challenges, discover new technique exercises, and play solo pieces.  

Each session will include a warm-up exercise, technique instruction, and feedback.  Other aspects of music including music theory, style, practice routines, and performance instruction may be included as well.

Experience: I hold a BS in Music Education from Missouri State University where I performed on flute and piano.  I hold a Missouri State Teaching Certificate in K-12 Music. I have taught flute players in school, privately in my home, and at a local music store.  

Needed Technology: Zoom has a setting for musicians. It is important to set this up before the online flute lessons.  Directions for adjusting the audio setting can be found at this link.
