Secular Curriculum
There is nothing like the privilege of watching a student learn something new. Although I am passionate about the subjects I teach, the students and their needs are my focus. I long to inspire others to be life-long learners who are always willing to ask questions.
This class teaches units five through eight of the IEW writing method using the Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales curriculum. Writing from pictures, inventive writing, and essays will be covered in this second semester class.
Educator GwenStudents work with an IEW Registered Instructor to write a brief essay about a treasured person to give as a thoughtful gift. This two-session class guides the student through each step of the writing process. Editing of the student's work included.
Educator GwenThis ongoing class teaches the basics of the IEW writing method through in-class group writing exercises. All nine IEW structural units will be covered as well as many of the style techniques.

Educator GwenThis class teaches units one through five of the IEW writing method using IEW's Wonders of Science curriculum. Key word outlines, story summaries, and paragraph structure will covered and practiced in this first-semester class.
Educator GwenKeep writing skills fresh with this 8-week summer writing class. Each week introduces a summer-themed writing challenge, an aspect of the IEW Writing Method, and an opportunity to practice and present.

Educator GwenThis one-time class offers an opportunity to sample the IEW method and my IEW online class structure. Following the same class structure as my semester-long IEW classes, students will learn IEW tools needed to write a descriptive paragraph.
