Description
This class is semester two of a full academic year class. For those who want to join without attending first semester, please also enroll in IEW Writing Overview of Units 1-4, which will begin in November.

Curriculum: IEW's Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales is a level A, elementary reading level, theme-based writing book which covers units one through eight of the IEW writing method. Focusing on stories, this writing class will also discuss the literature selections provided.
Scope and Sequence: Each class will focus on a lesson in the Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales Level A book. This second semester class will teach IEW units five through eight. Structure and style are the focus of the writing models and assignments.
Class Structure: Each class will include a greeting activity, mechanics and style, a writing lesson, and a review or vocabulary exercise.
Assignments: Weekly homework will be given according to the curriculum's suggested assignments. All assignments that are submitted to be according to the instructions will receive editing and written feedback. Feedback will be based on the checklist included in the book.
