In this single asynchronous session we will explore what education theory says about the strengths and weaknesses of an education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

In this class we will explore thought experiments, hypotheticals, and real world ethical dilemmas. Studying ethics is incredibly fun, and it also helps us develop critical thinking and logical reasoning skills and develop our own moral codes.

We will explore philosophical questions and concepts, and connect them to the adventures of Bilbo Baggins and his travelling companions in "The Hobbit," the beloved novel by J.R.R. Tolkien.

In this single asynchronous session we will explore two philosophies of ethics, and ask whether Dumbledore behaved ethically towards Harry Potter.

We will explore ethics through dilemmas that come up in favorite books, movies, and shows, such as Harry Potter, Ender's Game, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Hunger Games, The Good Place and The Office.

In this one-time interactive discussion class we will talk about the philosopher Plato's ideas on what qualities make a good leader, and ask who would make a good Minister of Magic.
