Teacher DeAnn...

I am a certified teacher and received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Weber State University, with an emphasis in Math. I have 30+ years of teaching experience. I taught public school in several different grades, tutored students individually and in groups, taught ESL online for 4 years, and have been teaching online classes (live group and individual classes, as well as self-paced classes since 2017. I teach students of all ages and welcome adults in my private tutoring or self-paced classes. I have many hobbies and enjoy sharing my talents, interests, and skills with students around the world. 

I teach a variety of classes: 

• Academics: Math, writing, reading 
• Life skills: Cooking, baking, sewing
• Arts and crafts

• Students should have fun and enjoy their time while learning with me. I'm passionate about teaching.
• My goal is to help students learn new skills and feel confident with themselves in this process. 
• My attitude affects the learning outcomes in my class. I am happy and energetic.
• There are many new ways to help students learn and understand difficult concepts. 
• Learners should be interested and engaged in their learning while having fun. 
• I encourage student output and collaboration. 
• It is important for everyone to be accepting of and encouraging toward others.

Personal info about me...

I live in a small town with my husband and our children. We enjoy spending time together working and playing outdoors, playing board games, and teasing/laughing with each other. I love being part of the chaos and fun times that come with family life. I enjoy baking, listening to music, eating warm homemade bread, doing puzzles, and reading a good book!  Ahhh...life is good.  :)
